“Miss Monica’s Happy Thoughts” The Garden Valley Preschool and Daycare

Turkey Time!

Posted by: Pitsenberger on: November 19, 2009

Its November and were enjoying the Fall into winter. We have been talking about the native Americans and Pilgrims, as well as starting to talk about warm and cold climates such as Australia, South America, Alaska and others. On November 25th we are doing a friendship stew where each kid brings in a different ingredient and we mix the stew all together. With the Holidays right around the corner we would like to remind everyone what days we are closed. We are closed on the 26th and 27th (Thanksgiving and the day after). The preschool closes on Christmas Eve at 1:00pm, and is closed Christmas Day and last but not least New Years Day.

The month of May has been a fun one. We made mothers day pot holders, had crazy hair day and of course started playing in the water in the afternoons.

We have been learning about the circus this month which is perfect because all the projects we have been making will be used as decorations at our Graduation/Carnival Fundraiser. This Friday we are also having our camp out at the school for the 6 of our kids that are moving on to kindergarten.
We still have spaces available for kids but certain days are filling up.Or summer program is much more relaxed then during the school year.Drop ins are also welcomeds 145

The school is quickly starting to fill up. There are plenty of spaces available, but that won’t last long. We are so excited as we have been hearing from the parents how well their kids are doing at the school. “We have noticed a difference in our child” is what we are hearing.

We want to thank the parents and children that came to our open house last Tuesday the 10th. The energy of the parents that came is evident. It’s nice to see people that care so much for their kids taking the time to come out.

Open House, Tuesday the 10th

Posted by: Pitsenberger on: February 8, 2009

It looks like people are starting to discover our daycare! We have 9 students, with more showing intrest. It seems like Tuesdays and Thursdays are the busiest, with Wednesdays the slowest. We are sure that will change soon. It takes a little while for the word to spread about a new businesss. Never the less we are excited to be hearing such great comments from the people we talk to.

We have applied for a grant for new playground equipment which hopefully will be approved by summer. While we wait for that Trey will be building our sandbox, which will accompany our current playground equipment. One of the great things about our playground is it’s big enough for kids to run around.

Next Tuesday, February 10th, will be our open house. Come by between 6 and 8pm to see what all the excitment is about. Meet Monica and the staff to see if our pre-school and daycare is what you have been looking for.
